NeoArka / Smriti
Terms of Service
Last updated: August 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Smriti mobile app and related services ("Service"), operated by NeoArka. By using Smriti, you agree to these Terms.
Using Smriti
Smriti is a personal reading app for tracking books, capturing reading notes, and reflecting on what you read. You may use guest mode or create an account. You agree to use the Service lawfully and not misuse it.
Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate account information when signing up.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create in Smriti, including notes, contexts, journal entries, and companion messages. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service.
AI Companion
Smriti may offer an optional AI reading companion. AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for reflection and learning support only and should not be treated as professional advice.
Subscriptions and Billing
Smriti offers optional paid subscription plans that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are purchased, billed, and managed through Google Play, and are subject to Google Play's billing terms in addition to these Terms.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings.
- Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policies, not directly by us.
- We may change subscription pricing or features going forward; where required by law, we will give advance notice of material changes.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to access another user's data without authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer or misuse the Service except as permitted by law.
Third-Party Services
Smriti relies on third-party services such as hosting providers, database services, book metadata providers, and AI providers. Your use of those features may be subject to their respective terms and policies.
Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Termination
You may stop using Smriti at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smriti and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Smriti and its operators from any claims, losses, or damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
