Delete Your Data

You can permanently delete your Smriti account and all associated data — library, reading sessions, contexts/notes, and companion conversations — at any time. This page describes how, for anyone who wants to request deletion without using the app (for example, if it has been uninstalled).

Option 1: Delete in the app (fastest)

1. Open Smriti and go to Profile.
2. If you have an account, tap Delete Account and confirm with your password. If you are using guest mode (no account), tap Delete My Data.
3. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or prefer not to use it, email support@neoarka.com from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete your data. We will verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days, then confirm by email.

If you used Smriti in guest mode (no account/email), we cannot verify a deletion request submitted by email, since guest data isn't tied to any identity we can confirm — please delete it from within the app instead (Option 1).

What gets deleted

• Account profile (name, email, password hash).
• Library entries, shelves, and reading progress.
• Contexts (quotes, concepts, principles, questions, and other saved notes).
• Reading sessions and companion conversation history.

Deletion is permanent. Some minimal records (such as fraud-prevention or legal-compliance logs, if any) may be retained only as long as legally required, per our Privacy Policy.
